WHAT YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH IN THE ROLE
n
As a Collection Assistant, you'll play an important role in maintaining the Library's collections and study spaces, ensuring resources are easy to find and accessible for the JCU community.
n
n
Shelve books and journals accurately and maintain collection order.
n
Conduct shelf checks and collection audits to support collection management projects.
n
Retrieve, scan and assist with the repair of library materials.




n
Support collection relocation and maintenance activities.
n
Help maintain a clean, organised and welcoming library setting.
n
Identify and report maintenance issues and space constraints.
n
Provide basic directional assistance and referrals to library users when required.
n

WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO THE ROLE

To be successful, you'll have:

Current enrolment as a JCU student based in Cairns.
n
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
n
A reliable and proactive approach to work.
n
Good communication and customer service skills.
n
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
