As Manager of the Community & Personal Histories team, you will guide a specialised team that provides critical access to historical records for Aboriginal peoples & Torres Strait Islander peoples, ensuring services are lawful, trauma informed & culturally responsive.

You will lead operational delivery while contributing to strategic priorities—identifying emerging issues, strengthening governance practices & supporting continuous improvement across the Unit. The role requires strong people leadership to foster a high performing, values driven team and to ensure consistent, high-quality service outcomes for individuals, families & communities.

This role offers the chance to apply your judgement, cultural capability & stakeholder engagement skills to deliver meaningful, lasting impact. It also involves regular exposure to historical records containing personal & culturally.

Our team:
Community and Personal Histories (CPH) provide access to historical departmental records via an administrative release process.



Requests are received from clients across the state including individuals, families, Native Title Representative Bodies, Link-Up and Stolen Generation counsellors.
