Senior Full Stack Developer - 12 Month Initial Contract with 5 Vacancies

We are seeking experienced Senior Full Stack Developers to join a contemporary cloud development team working across front-end, back-end, integration and cloud infrastructure.
There are five positions available on an initial 12-month contract, offering the opportunity to work as part of a broader technical team delivering modern, cloud-native applications.

The Role
You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and supporting cloud-native applications, working across the full technology stack and closely with technical leads, architects and delivery teams.
Key responsibilities will include:

- Design, develop and maintain web applications using React and TypeScript.
- Develop and support cloud-native backend services and microservices.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs using OpenAPI and contract-first development.
- Build synchronous and asynchronous integrations using API and event-driven patterns.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK.
- Design and implement scalable relational and NoSQL data solutions.
- Build secure, resilient and maintainable AWS-based solutions.
- Implement validation, exception handling, audit logging, monitoring and observability.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, security and quality assurance.
- Participate in solution design, code reviews and architecture discussions.
- Produce technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
- Work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and delivery stakeholders.

Key Skills & Experience

Front End

- Strong commercial experience with React, TypeScript and modern JavaScript.




- Experience with modern CSS and component libraries.
- Experience building complex business workflows within role-based user interfaces.
- Strong understanding of responsive design and modern UI development.

Backend & APIs

- Strong experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs in AWS environments.
- Experience with OpenAPI and contract-first development.
- Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems.
- Experience with OAuth 2.0, OIDC and JWT-based authentication.
- Commercial experience developing backend services using Python.

AWS
Strong hands-on experience with a range of AWS services, including:

- AWS Lambda
- Amazon API Gateway
- Amazon EventBridge
- Amazon SQS and SNS
- Amazon S3
- Amazon DynamoDB
- Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL / RDS
- AWS IAM
- AWS Secrets Manager
- AWS Systems Manager Parameter Store
- Amazon CloudWatch

You will also have experience with:

- Serverless architectures
- Event-driven solutions
- AWS networking, including VPCs and private API integrations
- Secure service-to-service communication

DevOps & Engineering

- Strong experience with AWS CDK / Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling.
- Strong Git, testing, debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Experience incorporating automated testing, security scanning and quality controls into delivery pipelines.





Desirable Experience
- Observability, monitoring, structured logging and distributed tracing.
- Designing highly available, scalable and resilient cloud-native solutions.
- Experience working within enterprise or government environments.
- AWS certification at Developer level or higher.

Experience Required
- 5+ years' software development experience.
- 2+ years' hands-on AWS development experience.
- Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end solutions across front-end, back-end, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and operational support.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments
