About the role

As a Dietitian Senior within the Hospital in the Home (HITH) service, you will apply advanced dietetics knowledge and clinical expertise to support acute and subacute patients receiving hospital-level care in community settings. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality nutrition assessment, intervention and management to help improve health outcomes, functional ability and quality of life for patients receiving care at home.

This role offers the opportunity to work with a complex caseload while exercising a high degree of clinical autonomy. You will contribute to service development, quality improvement and research activities, provide expert advice to stakeholders, and support the professional growth of students and less experienced clinicians while helping to advance dietetic services across Home Hospital and Community and Oral Health.

About you

- Deliver high-level dietetics services to acute and subacute Hospital in the Home patients, utilising advanced clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice.
- Provide specialist nutrition and dietetic advice to multidisciplinary teams, patients, families and other stakeholders to support optimal care outcomes.

- Apply independent professional judgement to the management of complex clinical presentations and contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols.
- Lead and participate in quality improvement, research and service development initiatives that enhance nutrition and dietetic service delivery.
- Provide clinical education, supervision and support to dietetic students, less experienced clinicians and support staff while contributing to workforce development.
