Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Unaccredited Plastics Surgery Registrar to join the Surgical department.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our six main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.
About the Role:
The unit provides treatment for a wide range of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery disorders, both elective and emergency with a high work load of trauma related injuries, including: Skin Cancer, Hand Surgery, Breast Reconstruction, Facial Trauma, General Plastic Surgery, and Wound Clinic.
The Unaccredited Plastic Surgery Registrar provides appropriate care to inpatients and outpatients of the Plastic Surgery department and, in addition, provides a consultative service for patients of other units or departments.
He or she also ensures supervision of the junior medical officers and provides support for the senior medical staff in the care of the Department's patients.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Must have or be eligible for Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Must have satisfactorily completed at least two years of postgraduate hospital experience in an Australia, New Zealand, or a recognised equivalent.
- Current National Police and Working with Children History Check
