About the Role

We are looking for an experienced .NET Full Stack Engineer to join the technology team of an established Australian business.

This is a full-time, long-term remote opportunity, working closely with an Australia-based technology team. The role is ideal for a developer who is comfortable working within an existing production codebase, solving technical issues, delivering enhancements, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of web applications and development processes.

The current environment is built around C#, ASP.NET MVC 5, .NET Framework, SQL Server, Entity Framework 6, JavaScript and jQuery, with the technology stack gradually evolving toward more modern front-end and development practices.

You'll be working on a live production platform where code quality, testing, attention to detail, and reliability are highly valued.

What You'll Do

- Support, maintain, and enhance existing ASP.NET MVC applications running on .NET Framework
- Develop and deliver small to medium-sized features and enhancements
- Investigate and resolve bugs and production issues
- Work from technical specifications and implement changes to a high standard
- Create focused pull requests and participate in code review processes
- Write and execute manual and functional tests before changes are released
- Contribute to automated regression testing for key user journeys using Playwright or similar tools
- Work with SQL Server, including views, stored procedures, functions, and T-SQL
- Maintain and enhance existing front-end functionality using Razor Views, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS/Sass/SCSS, and Bootstrap
- Support and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions
- Communicate clearly when requirements or technical specifications need clarification
- Work independently while staying aligned with the wider technology team

Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years of skilled .NET web development experience
- Strong experience with C#
- Hands-on experience with ASP.NET MVC 5
- Strong understanding of .NET Framework
- Experience working with Razor Views (.cshtml)
- Solid SQL Server / T-SQL experience
- Experience with Entity Framework / Entity Framework 6
- Strong understanding of JavaScript and jQuery
- Experience with CSS, Sass/SCSS
- Experience with Git/GitHub
- Experience working with an existing production codebase
- Experience with manual and functional testing of web applications




- Experience with browser automation testing, ideally Playwright or a similar framework
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach to development
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness and ability to work during Sydney/Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) business hours
