About the role and where you will be working

Join Hunter New England Imaging at Calvary Mater Hospital, Waratah, in a rewarding role that combines your radiography expertise with specialist breast imaging and mammography.

As a Level 2 Medical Radiation Scientist, you'll be an integral part of our specialist mammography service, providing diagnostic breast imaging, high-risk screening and mammography-guided procedures, including Contrast Enhanced Mammography (CEM). You'll also have the opportunity to maintain and expand your general radiography skills within a major tertiary oncology hospital, with imaging services spanning general radiography, CT, MRI, fluoroscopy and ultrasound.

You'll work alongside an experienced and supportive multidisciplinary team committed to clinical excellence, professional development and exceptional patient care. With exposure to complex oncology imaging, contemporary technology and a diverse range of clinical services, this role offers the opportunity to grow your expertise, broaden your skills and enjoy genuine variety in your practice.

About you

Are you an experienced Medical Radiation Scientist looking for a role that combines specialist breast imaging with the variety of general radiography in a busy 24/7 medical imaging service?

We're looking for a skilled and motivated radiographer with strong mammography expertise, particularly in Contrast Enhanced Mammography (CEM) and mammography-guided procedures, along with demonstrated experience in general radiography.

You'll be a team player who thrives on clinical variety, embraces professional development and is committed to delivering safe, high-quality and compassionate patient care.

Experience in additional imaging modalities, particularly CT,



will be highly regarded and offers the chance to further broaden your clinical skills and contribute across the wider Medical Imaging service.

Requirements

Applicants must be female - exemption claimed under section 31 (2)(h) of the Anti-Discrimination Act.

Degree in Medical Radiation Science (Diagnostic Radiography) or equivalent.

Eligible for registration with Australian Health Professionals Registration Authority (AHPRA), hold current NSW EPA Radiation licence.

Current NSW Drivers Licence.
