Procurement & Grants Officer

Are you an experienced procurement, contracts, or grants professional looking to make a meaningful contribution within local government?

We are seeking a proactive and organised Procurement & Grants Officer to coordinate procurement activities, contract administration, and grant funding preparation functions that support the delivery of important community projects.

Reporting to the Manager Finance, this role plays a key part in ensuring procurement processes are compliant, efficient, and aligned with legislative and policy requirements while identifying and managing funding opportunities that benefit the community.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing procurement and tender processes in accordance with Council policies and legislation.
- Coordinating contract administration and financial controls.
- Identifying, preparing and managing grant applications and acquittals.
- Monitoring funding milestones and reporting requirements.
- Supporting financial reporting,



auditing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Building positive working relationships across council departments and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement, contracts, grants administration, finance, or project support within local government, state government, or a similar regulated environment. Robust communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret legislation and policies are essential.
