The opportunity

We are in the market for an experienced and qualified professional; Projects Manager, Major Projects. You are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge.

Reporting to the Manager Project Management, this specialist role operates with a high degree of autonomy and is consistent with the level of responsibility, accountability and influence expected of a local government manager-level position. While the role has no direct reports, you will lead multidisciplinary project teams, expert consultants and key stakeholders through the full project lifecycle — from planning, design and procurement through to construction delivery, contract administration and successful project close-out.

This is a temporary full-time specialist position offering the chance to deliver significant, high-value projects for one of Western Australia’s fastest growing regional cities. An attractive remuneration package is available for the right candidate and will be negotiated based on qualifications, capability and relevant experience.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Bachelor’s degree qualification in a relevant discipline, e.g. Engineering, Construction or Building
- A minimum of 10 years relevant experience delivering major building and civil infrastructure capital works projects.
- Recognition by The Institution of Engineers, Australia (Engineers Australia) as a Professional Engineer or equivalent.
- Post graduate qualification in Project Management or similar equivalent.
- Be a current active Project Management Institute (PMI) certificate holder at PMP or equivalent project management recognition (highly desirable)
- Current unrestricted C class national driver’s licence.
