· Midwifery Unit Manager -Permanent Full Time, 80 Hours Per fortnight

· Wonthaggi Campus

· NM2/3 Depending on Experience

The Team & Role

The Women & Family Services Midwifery Unit Manager provides direct supervision and co-ordination of the overall clinical and administrative management of the Women & Families Service to ensure the delivery of safe and competent midwifery care and provide for the safety and well-being of women, families, staff, and visitors.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

· Registered Midwife (RN/RM) holding registration to practice

· Significant experience and skills in midwifery

· Management experience

· Entitlement to work within Australia

· A Police Check that is current and within 12 months of the issue date

· Provision of valid Working with Children Check

· Seasonal influenza vaccination of healthcare workers in accordance with Secretary, Department of Health Directions

Desirable





· Post-Graduate qualifications in management

· Post graduate qualifications or working towards Masters in Advance Midwifery Practice

· Previous experience and knowledge of standards accreditation (National Standards)

· Strong inter-personal skills

· Demonstrated leadership skills and experience

· Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills

· An ability to think strategically
