Pay Rate: $39.68 per hour + super

About the Opportunity

Randstad is partnering with a Local Council in Werribee. We are seeking professional, customer-focused individuals to join their team across multiple vacancies. In this role, you will deliver exceptional service at their customer service counter and contact centre, resolving enquiries, handling cashiering tasks, and providing top-tier support to our community.

Available Roles (with strong potential for further extensions)

- Full time (38 hrs/week): 1 Position - through to February 2027
- Part-Time (21 hrs/week): 1 Position - Mon, Thu, Fri (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM) - through to January 2027
- Full-Time (38 hrs/week): 2 Positions - through to Early November 2026

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver front-counter and contact centre support to members of the public, handling phone calls, emails, and face-to-face enquiries.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly or escalate them to appropriate departments using initiative and diplomacy.
- Accurately process cashiering transactions (cash, EFTPOS, cheques) and perform daily balancing.
- Utilize Council customer management and tracking systems (e.g., Proclaim/ProAct)



to log requests and update records.
- Maintain accurate community display information and assist with routine administrative tasks.

Key Skills & Qualifications

- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a clear, polite tone.
- Telephone Manner: Confident and professional phone etiquette with strong active listening skills.
- Microsoft Package & Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new software applications.
- Time Management: Effective organizational skills to handle high-volume enquiries efficiently.
- Customer Service & Cashiering Experience: Background in a fast-paced face-to-face customer service, contact centre, or retail cashiering environment.
- Requirements: National Police Check clearance (and Working with Children Check if required for specific service areas).
