About the position:

An exciting opportunity has opened for a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join our client's high-performing Real Estate team in Brisbane. This is a full-time, permanent role, ideal for a Senior Lawyer ready to take the lead on complex property and development files while mentoring Junior Lawyers and playing a pivotal role in the continued expansion of the practice.
You will work closely with major developers, institutional landlords, government entities, and high-net-worth investors. Matters will include large-scale acquisitions, disposals, commercial and retail leasing, joint ventures, and property due diligence.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing complex commercial property transactions from start to finish
- Advising on property development, leasing, and subdivision projects
- Overseeing contract negotiations, due diligence and settlements




- Collaborating with stakeholders on high-value real estate deals
- Supporting the mentoring and development of Junior Lawyers

Key Requirements:

- Minimum 6 years PAE with a strong focus on property or real estate law (private practice experience needed)
- Experience with major acquisitions, leasing and development projects
- Robust drafting and negotiation skills across a range of property matters
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and commercial acumen
- Ability to supervise, lead, and support junior team members
- Genuine interest in building and expanding a commercial practice
