Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government agency to engage 2 x Valuations and Acquisitions Advisors for a contract to 19/01/2027 based in Sydney AND Wollongong or Nowra NSW

About the Position
The Valuations and Acquisitions Advisor manages property valuations and negotiations to support the timely acquisition of property required for infrastructure projects and programs. The role provides valuation and acquisition advice, manages negotiations, and supports legislative acquisition processes.

Duties

- Conduct and manage property valuations and negotiations, including complex matters
- Undertake acquisition activities in line with policy, guidelines and legislative requirements
- Prepare submissions for approval and maintain probity throughout acquisition processes
- Liaise with surveyors and property stakeholders to ensure agreements reflect purchase conditions
- Provide valuation and property acquisition advice to support decision-making
- Assist with acquisition cost estimates and progress reporting
- Support project teams with advice on complex valuation and acquisition matters

Requirements/Skills

- Broad experience in real estate valuation
- Minimum 3 years undertaking valuations relating to land acquisition and Just Terms matters




- Demonstrated experience with the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991
- Demonstrated knowledge of compulsory land acquisition for government infrastructure purposes
- Strong attention to detail
- Tertiary qualifications as a real estate valuer recognised by the Australian Property Institute
- Current practising membership with an approved professional valuation body
- Proven experience undertaking complex valuation and acquisition functions in a high-volume environment
