Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining safe, neat and attractive public spaces? We're looking for a motivated and reliable Vegetation Maintenance Labourer to join our team, responding to customer service requests and carrying out vegetation maintenance across nature strips, parks, reserves and other public open spaces throughout The Hills Shire. In this hands-on role, you'll help ensure our community areas remain well-presented, accessible and safe through activities such as mowing, brush cutting, weed control, pruning and general vegetation management.

What this role looks like:
• Responding to reactive maintenance requests
• Maintaining parks, sportsgrounds, open spaces and public amenities
• Carrying out daily maintenance checks on plant and equipment
• Operating mowers, blowers, brush cutters, spray equipment and other machinery
• Assisting with materials delivery
• Assist in the delivery of programs and activities.
• Chemical management
• Helping upkeep and improve Council’s infrastructure

What we are seeking in our new team member:
1.



Drivers Licence (Class C)
2. White Card - General Construction Induction
3. 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position

A salary from $69,466 to $72,730 per annum + 12% superannuation (paid weekly) + Overtime and an opportunity to earn annual organisational bonuses up to $2,000 and 2% of base annual salary.
