About the Role:

We're seeking a proactive Business Support Officer to join a supportive finance systems team and provide first-level support across procurement and accounts payable queries. You'll be the first point of contact for users, helping them navigate the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process and resolve day-to-day issues-while also contributing to training, documentation and system improvement activities. This role is well-suited to someone who enjoys a customer support environment, can juggle competing priorities, and can explain processes clearly to a broad internal user base.

Responsibilities:

- Provide first-level support for purchasing and accounts payable enquiries (approx. 20-50 requests per day)
- Assist users with requisitions, purchase orders, change orders and general P2P workflow queries
- Log, triage and manage incidents/service requests, escalating more complex issues as required
- Liaise with the procurement system support/vendor team to follow up on requests and incidents
- Deliver one-on-one guidance and contribute to monthly group training/user presentations on how to use the system
- Maintain and update resource guides, procedures and training materials
- Support testing and rollout activities for system updates (including ERP upgrades)
- Assist with SharePoint administration/maintenance (resources, access, content updates)

About You:

- Experience supporting users in a procurement and/or finance systems environment (P2P highly regarded)
- Strong customer service skills and confidence supporting a large internal user base
- Ability to explain processes clearly to non-technical stakeholders

- Experience with ticketing/ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow/Remedy or similar) - desirable
- Confidence creating/updating user guides, SOPs, and training resources
- Exposure to Oracle (or similar ERP) and/or procurement systems (e.g., Zycus) - highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail, calm under pressure, and a collaborative mindset

About the Organisation:

You'll be joining a large, complex public-sector environment with a strong focus on service delivery, continuous improvement, and stakeholder support. The team is known for being supportive, practical, and collaborative, with good systems and guidance in place to help you succeed. (Company name intentionally withheld.)

The Next Step:

To be successful, you must be willing to obtain a explicit National Police Check and have unrestricted Australian working rights. Click on the APPLY button or contact Nicole on 03 9629 9999 or 0422 031 554 for a confidential discussion. We welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities and are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive workplace.
