About the Role

As an Education Support Worker within Special Development Schools (SDS) and specialist education settings you'll bring your support skills into education and help students reach their full potential. You'll work alongside educators and allied health professionals, to create inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environments.

A day in the life of an Education Support Worker:

- Assist students with daily living skills such as toileting, personal care, meal assistance and physical transfers
- Supporting students with learning, regulation and communication skills
- Assisting in creating safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environments
- Encouraging student independence and personal development
- Working alongside teachers, therapists, and other education professionals




- Receiving ongoing support from your dedicated ANZUK consultant

Role Requirements

- Certificate III in Disability, Certificate III in Education Support, or equivalent qualification
- Experience supporting individuals with high-needs disabilities in community, residential, or educational settings
- At least 6 months' experience working with school-aged children
- Provides basic physical care and wellbeing support for students
- Strong communication skills, patience, and empathy
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Working With Children Check and NDIS Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Availability for full school-day shifts, generally 8:15am to 3:30pm (with some half-day opportunities available)
- Ability to travel throughout Melbourne's South region, including areas such as Officer, Cranbourne, Frankston, and Mornington
- Accept occasional same-day bookings
- Proficiency with AUSLAN is desirable but not essential
