Furnace Solutions is growing its Townsville and North Queensland workforce and is looking for experienced Supervisors, Tradespeople and Operators to support a strong pipeline of upcoming industrial work.

We are an Australian-owned specialist contractor delivering mechanical maintenance, industrial demolition, shutdown and specialised remote-operated equipment services across the mining, minerals processing, smelting, cement, ports and heavy industrial sectors.

This isn't recruitment for one shutdown. We're building a strong local workforce for ongoing opportunities ranging from Townsville and North Queensland projects to major shutdowns across Australia and specialist international work.

- Mechanical / Shutdown Supervisors

- Mechanical Fitters

- Boilermakers

- Plumbers

- Welders

- Machine / Brokk Operators

THE WORK

Depending on your experience, tickets and availability, you could be involved in:

- Major shutdown and outage execution

- Fixed plant mechanical maintenance

- Industrial and mechanical demolition

- Specialised remote-controlled demolition

- Furnace and smelter shutdowns

- Crusher and processing plant maintenance

- Conveyor and materials handling maintenance

- Mechanical installations

- Rigging and crane support

- Mobile plant and machinery operation





Projects range from short-duration local shutdowns and roster backfill through to longer-term FIFO, DIDO, interstate and international project opportunities.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Requirements will vary depending on the position, but relevant qualifications and experience may include:

- Australian-recognised trade qualification where applicable

- Fixed plant / heavy industrial experience

- Current Australian Driver's Licence

- Construction White Card

- Confined Space

- Working at Heights

- Relevant High Risk Work Licences

- Ability to pass project-specific medical and drug & alcohol requirements

- Solid commitment to safety, quality and teamwork

Highly regarded:

- Dogging / Rigging

- Forklift

- EWP

- Crusher, conveyor or processing plant experience

- Furnace and smelter experience

- Shutdown and outage experience

- Brokk / remote-operated equipment experience
