About Crossland & Hardy
Crossland & Hardy is an established surveying company providing professional surveying services across Western Australia. We are looking for an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper / Payroll Officer to join our team and take responsibility for the day-to-day bookkeeping, Accounts Payable & Receivable, fortnightly payroll and BAS requirements of the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper who is confident working independently and can take ownership of the company's financial administration.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for a broad range of bookkeeping, payroll and financial administration duties, including:
- Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Full-cycle bookkeeping and day-to-day financial administration
- Processing supplier invoices and payments
- Managing customer invoicing and outstanding accounts
- Following up outstanding receivables and payments
- Processing and managing fortnightly payroll
- Maintaining employee payroll records, leave balances and payroll information
- Bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations
- Preparing and lodging BAS
- Preparing information for accountants and external reporting
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Managing superannuation and payroll-related requirements
- Assisting with month-end reporting and reconciliations
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting, taxation and payroll requirements
- General administration and financial support to management
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Minimum 5 years' bookkeeping experience
- Strong MYOB experience – essential
- Demonstrated experience managing Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Strong experience processing fortnightly payroll
- Experience preparing and lodging BAS
- Strong understanding of GST, PAYG and superannuation
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Good communication skills
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Experience working with small to medium-sized businesses
