Your Opportunity
In this role, you will be contributing to the effective and effective operations of the Workshop by carrying out proactive, preventative repairs and maintenance to SDRC’s heavy plant, trucks, equipment and infrastructure, including maintaining water and sewerage treatment and pump station facilities.
Bring your mechanical experience, problem-solving skills and commitment to safety to a role that keeps SDRC moving.
STATUS:
Permanent, Full-time
HOURS of WORK:
76 hours per fortnight | 9-day fortnight
PAY LEVEL:
$2,660.09 - $2,794.46 per fortnight (Level C10 – C8) + Dirt Allowance ($0.83 per hour) + Tool Allowance ($49.40 per fortnight) + Above award payment ($304 per fortnight)
Plus 12% Superannuation and 17.5% Annual Leave Loading in accordance with Council’s Enterprise Agreement and the relevant Award.
Pay rate dependant on relevant skills and experience.

To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Legal right to live and work in Australia
MANDATORY POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- A Class C (car) licence or greater is required for this role.
- An Occupational Health and Safety Construction Induction (White Card); or the ability to obtain.
- Immunisation record indicating Hepatitis A&B; vaccinations or immunity; or the ability to be vaccinated.
- Recognised trade qualification as a Diesel, Heavy Vehicle or Mobile Plant Motor mechanic.
