Braemar College is an independent, co-educational, ecumenical school for students in Years 5 to 12. The College has two campuses, both of which are located near Woodend, less than an hour from Melbourne's CBD.
The successful candidate will experience working in one of the most unique educational settings and teach committed and passionate students. The position is a full-time fixed-term position for Term 2, 2027. You would commence on 12 April 2027 – 18 June 2027. The position exists due to the teacher taking long service leave.

The position teaches in the Middle School, Year 5 to 8.
About You:
The College seeks an outstanding teacher who is knowledgeable and passionate about the English and Humanities curriculum and current pedagogical thinking. It is expected that you will:
- Have an enthusiastic approach to the education of young people including a focus on developing skills and underpinning knowledge.
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with staff, delivering English and Humanities programs across the school.
- Show a willingness and capacity to contribute to students' well-being by providing support and challenges,
and giving them confidence to aspire and thrive.
- Display innovation in curriculum and collaborative learning approaches
- Have a tertiary teaching qualification that enables you to teach English and Humanities.
- Display an individual learning disposition that strives for continual improvement.
- Be a current VIT registered teacher.
In addition, the preferred applicant will have an understanding of and commitment to the ethos of Independent Schooling and a willingness to contribute to College events and adhere to the College's 'Child Safe Code of Conduct’ and 'Child Safe and Protection’ policies.
