About the role

We are seeking applications from individuals who are committed to ensuring the highest possible standard of in-home care for our valued clients. This position will primarily service Ipswich, Redbank Plains, Logan and Brisbane Surrounds.

As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), you will be:

- Providing personal care and assistance with hygiene, toileting, bathing, grooming and other ADL activities

- Assisting clients with mobility and transfers, along with other activities to help maintain an independent lifestyle (kilometre-reimbursement offered)

- Assisting clients with general housekeeping duties i.e. cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, dusting as prescribed in the clients’ care plans

- Providing social support activities which may include driving clients to appointments and assorted locations

- Recognising and responding to change in a client's condition, as well as documenting and communicating this information as required





- Ensuring clients are treated with dignity and respect and supported to exercise choice and independence

This position is best suited to someone who has:

- Minimum Certificate III qualification i.e. Individual Support, Aged Care, Community Services

- Preferably 12 months experience working in the Home Care sector, particularly with Home Care Packages and CHSP funded care services

- Willingness to embrace domestic / housekeeping duties as part of your role. It is preferable for you to have experience in professional cleaning duties, but not mandatory

- Genuine empathy with elderly clients and a passion to work within the community service industry

- Understanding of specialised service delivery within diverse groups, specifically Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, CALD, Veterans, Disability, Mental Health, LGBTI+ and Homelessness.
