We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Project Manager - Mining & Energy to lead the delivery of large-scale mining, energy and industrial infrastructure projects across Australia.
As a key member of Delta Australia's Project Delivery team, you will be responsible for managing complex, multi-million-dollar projects from order handover through to final customer acceptance. Working closely with customers, factory teams, supply chain partners and internal stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
This role is ideal for a strong project leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating multiple stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
Job Experience:
- 5+ years' experience managing large-scale mining, energy, industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience delivering multi-million-dollar projects with responsibility for schedule, cost, scope and risk management.
- Proven ability to coordinate customers, suppliers, manufacturers, contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Experience managing project governance, documentation,
approvals and stage-gate processes.
- Strong background in customer-facing project management and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience overseeing project reporting, milestone tracking and project performance reviews.
- Exposure to complex supply chain, manufacturing or engineered solution environments.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Technical / Professional Skills:
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and project lifecycle delivery.
- Experience in project scheduling and planning using tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6 or equivalent.
- Strong documentation control and project governance capability.
- Ability to manage project risks, issues, change requests and mitigation plans.
- Knowledge of procurement, manufacturing, logistics and supply chain processes.
- Excellent customer communication and presentation skills.
- Solid commercial awareness, including management of budgets, forecasts, project costs and contractual obligations.
- Ability to prepare and deliver executive and customer project reports.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Business or a related discipline.
- PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent Project Management certification preferred.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Australian work rights.
- Ability to travel domestically as required to customer and project sites.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Managing end-to-end execution of multiple mining and energy projects.
- Acting as the primary point of coordination between customers, factory operations, suppliers and internal teams.
- Developing and maintaining project schedules, delivery plans and milestone tracking.
- Leading project governance activities including documentation, approvals and stage-gate reviews.
- Providing regular project status updates, risk assessments and performance reporting.
- Identifying and mitigating project risks relating to manufacturing, logistics, procurement and delivery.
- Working closely with Supply Chain, Operations and Engineering teams to ensure successful execution.
- Managing customer acceptance processes, project closeout activities and final documentation handover.
