Gladstone Ports Corporation is seeking an experienced finance specialist to provide independent, objective and commercially astute advice to its Audit and Risk Committee. This is an advisory appointment, suited to a senior finance, audit or commercial leader who is operating in a portfolio career, non-executive, consulting or advisory capacity and is looking to contribute as a finance subject matter expert to a high-calibre Board.

As Independent Advisor, you will support the Committee in its oversight of financial reporting, audit and assurance, financial risk, internal controls, compliance and major commercial matters. You will bring an independent perspective, sound judgement and the confidence to provide constructive challenge in a complex, regulated and publicly accountable setting.

The opportunity
This role will appeal to someone who enjoys working close to board decision-making without seeking a formal director appointment. The engagement is expected to operate on a day-rate basis, with arrangements to be negotiated either directly with the successful advisor or through OnTalent, depending on the preferred engagement model.

What you will bring
We are seeking a highly credible advisor with a strong finance foundation, excellent commercial acumen and the ability to translate complex financial matters into clear, practical advice for a board committee. Experience may have been gained as a CFO, senior finance executive, transaction advisor, or equivalent senior commercial role.

- Deep expertise in financial reporting, audit, assurance,

internal controls and financial risk oversight

- Strong commercial judgement, including the ability to assess capital, funding, investment, treasury or major project matters

- Confidence operating with Boards, Audit and Risk Committees, executive teams and external assurance providers

- Independence of thought, sound governance instincts and the ability to provide constructive challenge

- Experience in complex, regulated, asset-intensive, infrastructure, resources, transport, ports or government-related environments will be highly regarded

- An understanding of Government-Owned Corporation or public accountability settings is attractive but not essential

About Gladstone Ports Corporation

As a Government-Owned Corporation, it operates in a setting where commercial performance, safety, sustainability, public accountability, stakeholder confidence and long-term asset stewardship all matter.

This is an opportunity to apply your finance and commercial expertise in a focused advisory capacity, helping support strong governance and informed decision-making for a significant Queensland organisation.

How to express interest
Candidates are invited to submit a board-appropriate CV and a short cover letter outlining the skills, experience and perspective they would bring to the Audit and Risk Committee.

For a confidential discussion, please contact Natasha Olsson-Seeto or Jay Baxter at OnTalent on 07 •••• •824.
