ABOUT BASK

Bask Early Learning is family-owned and operated, with centres in Logan, Ipswich and Toowoomba. We exist to raise the standard of early childhood education and care in Queensland. Our BASKeteers are the people who make that real, every day, in every classroom.

THE ROLE

- Position: Educator

- Location: Bask Toowoomba City

- Type: Permanent Part Time

- Reports to: Educational Leader and Centre Manager. Educators also report to their Room Leader.

You'll work with a team of passionate educators to deliver play-based learning for children from 6 weeks to 6 years. You'll build relationships with children and families, contribute to documentation and program planning, and create classrooms where children feel safe, seen, and ready to explore.

You'll join an established, well-loved team and bring your energy, ideas and care to a centre Toowoomba families already know and trust.

THE CENTRE

Bask Toowoomba City is a 98-place centre with 6 rooms, caring for children from 6 weeks to 6 years. We're an established and well-respected part of the Toowoomba community, with a long-standing, consistent team.

The playscape is large and naturally shady, and the location is hard to beat: right in the heart of the city on Margaret Street, a stone's throw from Grand Central Shopping Plaza. There's a staff breakfast bar too, because the people who care for children deserve looking after as well.

YOUR IMPACT

- Deliver play-based learning aligned with EYLF, QKLG and NQF

- Build genuine relationships with children and families

- Contribute to program planning, documentation and reflection

- Use OWNA and StoryPark to capture learning and keep families in the loop





- Keep the learning environment safe, clean and engaging

- Support Exceeding NQS practice across all seven quality areas

- Contribute to a positive team culture and our continuous improvement journey

WHAT YOU BRING

- ACECQA-approved Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or actively working towards one.

- Working knowledge of EYLF, QKLG and NQF

- Experience in long day care or a similar setting

- Robust communication and time management

- Current Queensland Blue Card

- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training, or willing to obtain

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience with project-based or inquiry-driven practice

- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive), OWNA StoryPark and Penelope QIP
