About the role

Opposite Lock Cardiff is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused 4WD Retail Salesperson to join our dynamic team in Cardiff, NSW. This is a full-time position based at our Cardiff location, where you'll be at the forefront of our retail operations. In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, showcasing our premium 4WD products and accessories, and driving sales growth. You'll play a vital part in building lasting customer relationships and contributing to the success of our retail business in one of Australia's most vibrant regional markets.

Key responsibilities

1. Greet and assist customers on the retail floor, providing expert product knowledge and recommendations tailored to their needs

2. Demonstrate 4WD vehicles and accessories, highlighting features, benefits and specifications to prospective buyers

3. Conduct needs assessments to understand customer requirements and preferences, ensuring suitable product matching

4. Prepare quotations and negotiate terms to close sales transactions effectively

5. Process sales documentation accurately and efficiently, maintaining meticulous records

6. Build and maintain a customer database, follow up on leads, and cultivate repeat business relationships

7. Stay current with product inventory, pricing, promotions and industry trends

8. Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and performance metrics

9. Provide outstanding after-sales support and handle customer inquiries professionally

10. Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and productive retail environment

What we're looking for

1.



Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in the automotive, accessories or outdoor equipment sectors

2. Solid knowledge of 4WD vehicles, accessories and modifications (or demonstrated willingness to develop this expertise)

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers

4. Demonstrated sales ability with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets

5. Customer service excellence and a genuine passion for helping clients find the right solutions

6. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team

7. Proficiency with retail point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills

8. Professional appearance and demeanour befitting a premium retail environment

9. Valid driver's licence and ability to test drive vehicles safely

10. Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
