About the role

As a Major Customer Connections Engineer / Designer, you will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality designs across multiple areas of the MCC business line - including indoor and outdoor substations, external civil and pit designs, and relocation design works. You will be working within a team that proudly boasts 75+ years of industry experience, taking ownership of designs from concept through to IFC.

Key responsibilities

- Develop MCC concepts and designs, preparing and reviewing works plans and technical documentation, adhering to industry standards and best practices.

- Undertake electrical calculations and space proofing exercises.

- Liaise with clients, DNSPs, local authorities and other key stakeholders.

- Interpret and apply National, State and Local standards and documentation.

- Support and participate in design coordination and clash-detection.

About you

- Two years' current design experience in the Energex and/or Ergon space.

- Proven background working on MCC projects, ideally in QLD.

- Interpret and apply National, State and Local standards and specifications.

- Knowledge of key EQL standards including LCC Design Manual, QECM, QEMM.

- Comprehensive knowledge of OH and UG network standards (LV to 33kV).





- Engineering survey experience for line profiling and route selection.

- Experience with relevant engineering design software.

- Organised and comfortable juggling different priorities.

- Confident communicating with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.

- A team player who enjoys working with different people.
