About the Role

Want to help a young person rediscover that they're capable of learning and succeeding?

We're looking for a full-time Education Assistant to join our Youth Futures Community School in Midland, supporting students who haven't thrived in mainstream education to re-engage with learning, build confidence, and move towards further study, training or employment.

Working alongside our teachers, you'll provide one-on-one and small-group support, primarily focused on functional literacy and numeracy aligned with the Certificate in General Education for Adults (CGEA), while helping students build the skills, routines and relationships they need to succeed. No two days look the same, and the impact you have will be real.

About You

What we're looking for:

• Demonstrated ability to build genuine relationships with young people before expecting engagement

• Confidence holding boundaries while remaining approachable and respectful

• A track record of noticing and celebrating small wins as much as big ones

• Proven adaptability being equally comfortable working independently or alongside our multidisciplinary team

• A genuine belief that every young person deserves another chance to succeed

• A calm, warm and consistent approach when things get challenging

Also highly regarded:

• Experience supporting or delivering programs aligned with the Certificate in General Education for Adults (CGEA)

• Experience working in a CaRE school, alternative education setting, or Middle School environment

Essential Requirements

• Certificate III or IV in School Based Education Support / a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent experience as an Education Assistant.

• Current Working with Children Check (mandatory)

• National Police Clearance,



issued within the last 6 months (mandatory)

• Valid Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting HLTAID012 and including in date CPR component (mandatory)

• Current 'C' Class WA Driver's Licence
