We are a unique educational space where older and younger children 0 to 5 learn and play together in our federation house. Large parts of our days are spent outdoors in our nature-inspired and risk-based play environments. At Hamilton, relationships are built on respect and value for the individual.

We are a well-known and highly regarded early learning centre looking to invite a new trainee to complete their Certificate III in Early Childhood, where you will learn with and from our children and team.

About the role

We are looking for someone who is motivated, passionate and dedicated to beginning their career in the Early Childhood sector. You will be working in our beautiful learning space and will be able to build connections with young children and their families.

As a trainee you will learn about children's health, safety and well-being, you will be provided with hands-on experience, you will learn about children’s care routines as well as complete set daily tasks. You will also have the prospect, with the support of experienced educators, to learn about ways of planning for young children by understanding and following the centre’s philosophy and developing an understanding of the National Quality Framework.

Required

- You must be 18 years of age.

- A willingness to combine study with workplace experience to obtain qualifications.

- The capacity to work hours across centre opening hours - rotating shift capacity (Five days per week).

- Good communication skills both verbal and written.

- Willingness to work with an experienced team of educators who will support, coach and mentor you.

- Willingness to listen, learn, follow instructions as well as grow in knowledge and on-the-job experience from a collaborative team.

- Exemplary trainees may have the opportunity for further employment.

- Year 12 school leavers are welcome to apply.
