Our client is a well established and highly regarded public practice accounting firm with offices in Moonee Ponds & Airport West. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Tax and Business Services Accountant to join their supportive and professional team.

About the Role:

Working closely with senior accountants and partners, your responsibilities will include:

- Preparation of financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals

- Preparation of income tax returns

- Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS

- Preparation of management reports

- General tax compliance and client advisory work

- Liaising directly with clients and the ATO

- Assisting with tax planning and business advisory assignments

- Maintaining strong client relationships while providing exceptional service

About You:

To be successful in this role you will have:

- A minimum of 3 years' recent Australian Public Practice accounting experience

- Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation

- Demonstrated experience preparing financial statements, income tax returns and BAS.





- Excellent communication and client relationship skills

- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

- Strong experience using Xero is essential. Experience using MYOB or similar public practice accounting software will be highly regarded

- CPA or CA qualification (completed or currently studying) will be highly regarded

Essential Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years' recent Australian Public Practice accounting experience

- Current unrestricted Australian working rights

- Currently residing in Melbourne or surrounding suburbs

- Ability to work from the Balwyn office

- Strong experience using Xero
