Security. Progression. Purpose. Build Your Future With Us.
- Location: Perth, WA (Based) | Travel Required Across WA
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
- Salary: Competitive Package + Super (Negotiable based on experience)
- Reports To: Group Fleet Maintenance & Equipment Manager
? Is This YOU?
Are you a young, driven professional who's ready to stop following orders and start making the calls?
Do you have the qualifications, the hunger, and the ambition to take on a role that's bigger than just a job — one that becomes YOUR project, YOUR team, YOUR legacy?
Are you also looking for something real — a role that offers genuine long-term security for you and your family, not just a paycheck?
If you're nodding right now... keep reading.
? SECURITY MEETS AMBITION
This role is built for someone who wants both — the drive to push forward and prove yourself, and the stability of knowing you're building a long-term career, not just filling a gap.
We want someone who can blend ambition with security — who's hungry to grow, but also values:
- Stability for your family — a permanent, secure role with a business that's invested in your future
- A clear, structured path forward — not just a job, but a genuine career
- The drive to earn your progression — through results, leadership, and initiative
- Long-term thinking — building something that lasts, for yourself and those who depend on you
This is the opportunity to have it both ways — chase your ambition while building real security underneath you.
? THE OPPORTUNITY
This isn't just another maintenance role. This is your chance to step up, take the reins, and prove what you're capable of.
We're handing you the keys to a fleet of 285 assets — 50 trucks, 150 trailers, 50 forklifts, and 35 dollies — spread across 10 regional depots throughout Western Australia, plus a team of 10 skilled workshop staff who are ready to be led by someone with fresh energy, sharp thinking, and a genuine drive to succeed.
You'll report directly to our Group Fleet Maintenance & Equipment Manager, giving you direct exposure to senior leadership and a clear line of sight into how the bigger picture operates — the perfect springboard for someone serious about climbing the ladder.
This is a rare opportunity for someone early-to-mid career to fast-track into a management position most people wait a decade for.
❄️ THE ROLE WILL EVOLVE — GROW WITH IT
This position isn't static. As you grow into the role, there's a genuine opportunity to expand your scope and skillset into new areas of the business, including:
- Refrigerated Transport Equipment — gaining exposure to and responsibility for our reefer fleet and specialized equipment
- Refrigeration Systems & Cold Chain Understanding — developing knowledge of cold storage and cold chain operations, a highly valued and specialized skillset in the transport and logistics industry
- Broader technical expertise — positioning you as a more valuable, well-rounded leader within the business
This is a long-term development pathway, not a short-term appointment. For the right person, this is a chance to become genuinely specialized in an area of the industry that's in high demand — adding real value to your career and your future earning potential.
?️ THE FOOTPRINT
- 10 Regional Depots located across Western Australia
- Equipment and assets distributed across all depot locations
- Regular travel required to regional sites for inspections, audits, team support, and operational oversight
- Based out of Perth, with a mix of office/workshop time and time on the road visiting depots
? WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- Full responsibility for fleet maintenance and reliability across trucks, trailers, forklifts & dollies — statewide
- Oversight and coordination of equipment and maintenance standards across 10 regional depots
- Leadership of a 10-person workshop team — your crew, your culture
- Real decision-making power on budgets, scheduling, and vendor relationships
- The chance to build and implement your own systems and processes across multiple sites
- Growing involvement in refrigerated transport equipment and cold chain systems as your knowledge develops
- Regular regional travel to maintain hands-on visibility of depot operations
- A genuine career pathway — this role is a launchpad, not a ceiling
? REPORTING STRUCTURE
You won't be operating in isolation. You'll report directly to the Group Fleet Maintenance & Equipment Manager, who will:
- Provide mentorship and support as you grow into the role
- Give you visibility into group-wide strategy and decision-making
- Support your development into specialized areas like refrigeration and cold chain equipment
- Help fast-track your development toward more senior leadership positions
- Back you with resources and guidance while still giving you real autonomy
✅ WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We need someone who ticks these boxes:
- Relevant trade or technical qualification (Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Technician or similar)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in fleet, workshop, or maintenance environments
- More important than experience — we want ATTITUDE. Hungry, driven, and hands-on
- Natural leadership instincts,
even if untested at this level yet
- Problem-solver mentality — someone who sees challenges as opportunities
- Openness to learning refrigeration systems and cold chain equipment — no prior experience required, just willingness
- Willingness and flexibility to travel to regional depots across WA as required
- Current driver's license (HR/HC highly regarded)
- Comfortable with modern fleet management systems and technology
- Someone looking for genuine long-term career security, not just a short-term role
? WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT
This isn't about filling a seat. It's about finding the right person who wants to:
- Make their mark across a statewide operation and build something they're proud of
- Grow into senior leadership as the business scales
- Develop specialized, in-demand skills in refrigerated transport and cold chain systems
- Be trusted with real autonomy and real responsibility across multiple sites
- Gain broad exposure to regional operations most people don't get access to this early
- Build genuine security for their family, backed by a clear development pathway
- Build a career story that says "I built that" — not just "I worked there"
We're not looking for someone to coast. We're looking for someone to lead — and to grow with us for the long haul.
? WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
- Market-competitive salary package + superannuation
- Genuine job security — a long-term career, not just a role
- Clear career progression opportunities as you prove yourself
- Specialized training in refrigerated transport and cold chain systems
- Ongoing training and professional development support
- Mentorship and support from the Group Fleet Maintenance & Equipment Manager
- Travel allowances/entitlements for regional depot visits
- Join a company that backs ambition and rewards results
- Vehicle/tools of trade allowance (where applicable)
