About the job
n
The Assessment and Implementation Clinician will support recruitment and implementation of the BLEND-2 clinical trial, investigating early intervention for bipolar disorder in young people, and working collaboratively with families, clinical teams and key stakeholders to support the delivery of the trial.
n
Reporting to the BLEND Project Manager you will:
n
n
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments of young people, including mental health presentations, treatment needs, severity, complexity and risk.
n
- Work closely with clinical teams, referring services and key stakeholders to ensure young people receive appropriate referrals, support and continuity of care throughout the study.
n
- Provide clinical feedback and contribute to the implementation of the study's clinical model across participating sites.
n
- Support research activities by collecting accurate data, completing outcome measures and maintaining Good Clinical Practice standards.
n
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary clinical and research team, contributing to a culture of quality, teamwork, continuous improvement and participant-centred care.

Skills and experience
n
The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:
n
n
- Approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline. (Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy and Mental Health Nursing)
and full registration with AHPRA or AASW (or eligibility for).
n
- Significant experience assessing bipolar disorder and mental health disorders in young people.
n
- Robust understanding of youth-onset mental disorders, interventions and psychiatric comorbidities.
n
- Understanding of relevant mental health legislation and Good Clinical Practice.
n
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across young people, families and multidisciplinary teams.
n
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail, time management and recordkeeping.
