About the Role

An established Australian food manufacturing business is seeking an experienced General Manager, Finance to lead the finance function supporting a significant part of its operations.

This is a highly operational and commercially focused leadership role, partnering closely with senior leaders across manufacturing and production. You will take ownership of financial performance, provide meaningful commercial insight and ensure finance plays an active role in improving business outcomes.

With a sizeable finance team supporting multiple locations, this is an opportunity to lead through others while remaining close to the operational drivers of the business. The role is based in Brisbane and will involve regular travel to a key manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead financial performance across manufacturing operations, including weekly P&L;, forecasting, cash flow and working capital.
- Partner with operational GMs to improve margins, costs, productivity and commercial performance.
- Provide financial modelling, analysis and decision support across operational and strategic initiatives.




- Maintain strong financial management, reporting, controls and performance disciplines.
- Lead and develop a sizeable finance function across multiple locations.

About You

- Significant senior finance leadership experience within a complex manufacturing, processing or production environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory, working capital, manufacturing costs, margins and operational performance.
- Proven ability to partner with operational leaders and influence commercial decision-making.
- Hands-on, resilient and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing sizeable finance teams.

To be considered for this role, candidates will ideally bring experience across FMCG, food manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, processing, production or another complex operational setting with significant inventory, working capital, plant and supply-chain exposure.
