About the role

n

We are seeking an experienced Civil Foreman to join our expanding team at Carruthers Contracting. This is a full time opportunity based in the Laidley/Ipswich region where you will play a crucial role in delivering a multi-year subdivision project. Key responsibilities

n

As a Foreman with Carruthers Contracting, your key responsibilities will include:

n

- Planning, coordinating and overseeing all aspects of works from commencement through to practical completion
n
- Managing project costs, timelines and resources to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within approved costs
n
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery
n
- Implementing and maintaining health, safety and environmental standards on site, with a strong commitment to a zero-harm culture
n
- Supervising site teams and subcontractors to ensure work quality and compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements
n
- Monitoring project progress, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions to keep projects on track
n
- Preparing and maintaining accurate project documentation, reports and records
n
- Collaborating with engineers, superintendents,



inspectors and other professionals to resolve technical and commercial issues
n
- Conducting site inspections and quality assurance checks to maintain high construction standards
n

What we're looking for

n

To be successful in this role, you will need:

n

n
- Proven experience in civil construction project supervision, ideally gained on commercial or infrastructure projects
n
- Sound knowledge of civil engineering practices, construction methodologies and industry standards
n
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders
n
- Demonstrated competency in budget management, cost control and resource planning
n
- A thorough understanding of health, safety and environmental (HSE) requirements and a commitment to best practice safety culture
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
n
- A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to the project in the region described
n
- Relevant qualifications such as a construction management qualification or equivalent industry-recognised certifications
n
- Problem-solving ability and a proactive, can-do attitude
n
