Are you an experienced Pharmacy Technician ready to take the next step in your career?Join our Pharmacy Team in this exciting Grade 3 senior role, where you’ll help shape the future of pharmacy technician practice through innovative education, orientation, training and competency programs.You’ll play a key role in building capability, confidence and consistency across our pharmacy technician workforce, while supporting the growth and development of others.This senior opportunity within our Pharmacy Team is available in a full time, permanent capacity.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and support the delivery of education, orientation, training and competency programs for pharmacy technicians across Western Health.
- Develop and maintain practical, contemporary training resources and competency assessments that promote safe effective and consistent practice.
- Coordinate onboarding and ongoing training to support pharmacy technicians throughout their professional development.
- Identify training needs and opportunities to strengthen knowledge, skills and capability.
- Support the education and training requirements associated with new and expanded pharmacy technician roles and services.
- Evaluate training programs and use feedback to drive continuous improvement in education and competency development.
- Provide coaching, guidance and practical support to pharmacy technicians in the workplace.
- Maintain technical and operational expertise by performing Grade 3 pharmacy technician duties as required.
About you:
- Holder of a Certificate IV in Health (Hospital Pharmacy Technician) or equivalent (or working towards).
- A minimum of four years’ full-time experience as a qualified hospital pharmacy technician.
- Completion of VCE or equivalent.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to supervise, support and coordinate staff.
- General computer skills includingproficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn and support pharmacy-related digital systems and technologies.
- Experience contributing to quality improvement, service development or implementation of new processes (desirable).
