Job Description

The Rosewood Campus Pastor will lead the Church in partnership with Kruger & Springfield Baptist Churches. This role focuses on building a faithful, engaged church that reflects our shared vision and values, while forming deep roots within the Rosewood community. One day per week will be dedicated to cross-campus ministry, contributing to the wider life of the church, shaped by the gifts and abilities of the appointed pastor.

Role Requirements

- Have a strong godly character and growing relationship with Jesus, meeting the pastoral qualifications outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7,
n
- Agree with; What We Believe set out in the church Constitution, the church Core Values and be willing to comply with the Code of Conduct,
n
- Pursue ordination with Queensland Baptists,
n
- Have experience in church leadership,
n
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially in team building, pastoral care and community engagement,
n
- Be highly self-motivated and able to work independently under guidance.

Role Accountabilities/Relationships

n

n
- Accountable to the Senior Pastor and Elders of the combined Church.
n
- Connected relationally and strategically with the Kruger & Springfield leadership team.
n
- Required to submit reports at members' meetings and provide an annual written report.
n
- The role will be reviewed annually by the Senior Pastor.
n
- Remuneration as outlined in the letter of offer and based on Queensland Baptist guidelines.
n
- The position may be terminated by either party with 6 weeks' notice, or immediately in cases of moral or ethical misconduct.

Role Responsibilities

n

The Campus Pastor will be responsible, in partnership with the Senior Pastor, for the following:

n

Sunday Services

n

n
- Organise and lead weekly gatherings (setup, worship, teaching, hospitality, etc.).
n




- Preach regularly and help coordinate other communicators.
n
- Develop and lead a committed core team and volunteer base.
n
- Communicate and live out the shared culture, vision, values and mission of The Church in the new Rosewood context.
n

Discipleship and Community

n

n
- Oversee prayer ministry at the Rosewood campus.
n
- Facilitate pathways for people to grow in faith and connect in community (Life Groups, serving teams, etc.) alongside the Care Coordinator.
n
- Follow up new attendees, connecting them into church life and explaining values.
n
- Create opportunities for pastoral care and spiritual formation.
n

Outreach and Community Engagement

n

- Develop initiatives that connect with the community and create pathways to the Gospel (Community meal, Alpha etc.)
n
- Explore partnerships with local schools, chaplaincy and community organisations.
n
- Conduct weddings, funerals, baptisms and dedications when the prospect arises
n

Ministry Development

n

n
- Identify, train, and empower leaders within the campus.
n
- Ensure healthy ministry systems and spiritual accountability.
n
- Engage in personal and spiritual growth through professional development, retreats, and peer networks (with Senior Pastor's input).
n

Communication and Connections

n

n
- Maintain regular communication with the Senior Pastor and staff team.
n
- Attend pastoral team meetings and broader church family gatherings and events.
n
- Work towards gaining pastoral recognition with Queensland Baptists
n
- Engage with denominational and para-church ministries where appropriate
n

n

Cross-Campus Ministry

n

One day each week will be devoted to contributing to the wider church ministry across all campuses. The specific nature of this cross-campus contribution will be shaped by the skills, gifts, and experience of the appointed pastor, and determined in consultation with the Senior Pastor.
