We are Australia’s largest and oldest Student Union. We are about students on Campus. As the primary provider of coffee & food on campus, we have a wide range ofcafes and quick service venuesthat include our own Food Truck & Coffee Van.

WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for enthusiastic Chef de Parties with a love for great food and a passion to join our growing team at the University of Sydney main campus.
This is an prospect to be part of a fresh and dynamic team and culture. We want someone who can really bring positivity and a motivational personality to the team!

THIS IS A CASUAL ROLE OFFERING UP TO FULL-TIME HOURS (38 PER WEEK)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Share your winning smile and “can do” attitude to help support the kitchen team in delivering excellent experiences to our customers
- Being responsible for the quality production and presentation of all products leaving the kitchen
- Complete ordering processes as required to ensure correct stock is always on hand
- Assist with the control of food costs and the minimisation of wastage
- Use your knowledge of our menu to make your customers feel welcome and that their satisfaction and repeat business are your top priority

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

- 3 years + recent experience working in a fast-paced cafe or restaurant environment
- Knowledge of HACCP and Work Health and Safety Regulations and requirements
- Breakfast,



sandwich & salad experience
- Tertiary qualifications in hospitality or commercial cookery
- TAFE Workplace HygieneorFood Safety Supervisor Certificate or equivalent
- The ability to lift up to 15 kilograms

DESIRABLE SKILLS

- Experienced in driving vans and larger vehicles, and open to further training to drive vans to various venues as needed

THE PAY
$36.96 (inclusive of 25% casual loading)per hour + 12% Superannuation
In addition to the standard hourly rate, penalty rates apply for shifts worked after 6:00pm on weekdays, with increased rates available for event work on Saturdays and Sundays.

HOURS OFWORK
This is a casual role:rotating roster up to 38 hours per week, Monday to Sunday between 7am - 11:30pm
*You must be available to work a minimum of 3- 4 shifts a week, each shift consists of a minimum of 4 hours.
