Job Description

The Queensland Health AME team provides for safe, timely and coordinated inter-facility transfer of patients to and between Queensland hospital facilities, facilitating equitable access to specialist medical treatment for people living in rural and remote Queensland.
n
As part of the QHAME Service team, you will:
n
n
- provide inter-hospital emergency care on fixed wing aircraft
n
- build positive working relationships with the clinical team and key stakeholders
n
- participate in orientation and handover processes for new and relieving staff
n
- exhibit independence, flexibility, and initiative in a fast-paced environment
n
n
To succeed in this role, you will need:
n
n
- minimum experience of 5 years in emergency, intensive, or critical care nursing
n
- minimum of 250 hours relevant clinical experience in Emergency Nursing in a Tertiary Hospital within the past 12 months
n
- postgraduate qualifications in either emergency,
intensive care or critical care specialties
n
- evidence of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with practical components, Advanced Life Support (Level 2) and Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) with accredited training organization
n
- robust teamwork and communication skills, especially in high-pressure environments
n
- previous experience as a flight nurse is desirable
n
- Australian work rights and relevant professional registration
n
- ability to undergo Aspen Medical's credentialing process
n
- candidates should be located in Brisbane, Queensland
n
n
