Associate – Family Lawyer
Our specialist family law firm client, 15 lawyer strong and continuing to grow, is a respected boutique family law practice known for its supportive culture, high‑quality work and genuine commitment to client care. They are now seeking an Associate Family Lawyer to join their close‑knit team. Lawyers in this team really vibe off coming to work, they choose to be in the office and they enjoy working together.
About the Role
You’ll work across a broad mix of family law matters including parenting, property, financial agreements, child support, and complex disputes. The role offers autonomy with strong guidance from experienced senior practitioners, and the opportunity to build long‑term client relationships in a practice that values empathy, professionalism and excellence. You will be:
- Managing your own family law files with support from senior lawyers
- Drafting high‑quality court documents, affidavits, correspondence and agreements
- Attending mediations, negotiations and court
- Working closely with clients to provide clear, compassionate and strategic advice
- Contributing to a team-oriented team environment and mentoring junior staff
- Upholding the firm’s commitment to exceptional client service and ethical practice
You will ideally have:
- 4–5 years PAE in family law
- Strong drafting skills and confidence managing files
- A warm, professional communication style
- The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a supportive team
- A genuine interest in building your career in a boutique environment
- A client‑centred approach and commitment to high‑quality work
