All-Round Storeperson / Forklift Operator / Inbound Receiving – Day Shift

Our client, a leader in the Cold Storage and Distribution industry, is seeking experienced All-Round Storepersons / Inbound Receiving for day shift positions at their Prestons facility. This role requires previous experience in a fast-paced Transport & Logistics environment.
While forklift operation is a major component of the position, this is also a hands-on warehouse role involving a variety of daily tasks such as picking, packing, replenishment, and truck loading/unloading.
Roster & Shift Details
- Monday to Friday : 5:00 AM – 1pm
- Saturday where required
- Overtime available
- Immediate start for suitable applicants
Key Responsibilities
- Safe operation of High Reach Forklifts
- Working in a cool temperature environment
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Stock checkoff on inbound receipting
- Inventory investigation
- Put away and replenishments
- Chiller setting
- Adhoc tasks as required
- Operation of Electric Pallet Jacks (as required)
- High Reach Double Deep operation (minimum 12 months experience)
- Stock rotation, putaways, and replenishment
- Operating pallet wrapping machines
- Loading and unloading trucks
- General warehousing duties
Requirements – You MUST Have:
- A current LF Forklift Licence
- CROWN High Reach forklift experience – ESSENTIAL
- Double Deep experience – ESSENTIAL
- Experience operating 7–9 bay high racking
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role/industry
- Experience with High Reach Forklifts and double deep putaways
- Freezer/cold room experience (highly desirable)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Physically fit – some heavy lifting required
- Reliable own transport
- Flexibility with working hours
- Strong reliability and punctuality
- RF scanning experience (preferred but not essential)
Pre-Employment Requirements
All successful applicants will be required to complete a Pre-Employment Medical, conducted onsite by our Occupational Nurse, including a Drug & Alcohol test.
