An opportunity has become available for an experienced Collections Officer to join their established customer operations team on a temporary basis through until the end of the year. The Role
Working within a busy call centre environment, your primary responsibility will be managing customer accounts and recovering outstanding debt through a combination of inbound and outbound collections activity.
You will work with customers to understand their individual circumstances, negotiate appropriate payment solutions and provide support to customers experiencing financial hardship, while balancing customer outcomes with commercial requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of overdue customer accounts
- Conducting high-volume inbound and outbound collections calls
- Negotiating payment arrangements and suitable solutions with customers
- Identifying and appropriately managing customers experiencing financial hardship
- Providing a professional and empathetic customer experience
- Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and agreed actions
- Working towards individual and team KPIs and performance targets
- Liaising with internal stakeholders where required
This is a temporary position through until the end of the year, working five days per week.
Some Saturday work will occasionally be required as part of the roster.
Your Profile
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous Collections/Debt Recovery experience
- Previous experience working within a call centre/contact centre environment
- Strong customer service skills and a professional telephone manner
- Confidence managing both inbound and outbound customer calls
- Experience working towards KPIs and performance targets
- ·Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Availability to work five days per week through until the end of the year, including occasional Saturdays
