Robert Half has exclusively partnered with this FinTech to assist them securing a Head of Technology for a newly created position. You are not replacing anyone; you are coming in to take the lead.

The Head of Technology leads the technology function and is responsible for the development, IT operations and continuous improvement of the company's core technology platforms, with a primary focus on software engineering.

You will be responsible for building a team that develops and scales a business-critical platform covering lending, investment, loan servicing, investor administration and unit registry operations.

Responsibilities / Key skills:

- Proven pedigree in software engineering
- A career in building high performing engineering teams (circa 10 headcount)
- Additional expertise across IT Operations, Cyber and Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain the technology strategy, technical roadmap and annual business plan
- Maintain visibility of technology capability, platform maturity, cyber posture, vendor performance and resourcing needs
- Manage the Lead/Senior Software Engineers and engineering team to ensure development is technically sound, maintainable, secure and business-aligned
- Provide leadership across architecture, APIs, integrations, infrastructure, testing, release management and production support
- Ensure business rules are properly understood, documented and reflected in platform solution design
- Improve engineering standards, documentation, testing, monitoring,



deployment controls and management of technical debt
- Support data warehouse, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and management reporting initiatives
- Manage the IT Operations Manager and ensure day-to-day IT operations are secure, secure and responsive
- Assess and manage cyber security, disaster recovery, business continuity and technology risk across business systems and vendors
- Manage relationships with software vendors, managed service providers, security vendors, consultants and delivery partners
- Build a culture of practical software delivery, technical quality, accountability for technical outcomes, and continuous improvement
- Experience with AWS, APIs, data platforms, Microsoft 365, Python/FastAPI, React/Next.js or infrastructure-as-code environments would be advantageous
