Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Osteopath role based at Asana Health in Port Douglas, QLD. The Osteopath will assess patients through detailed clinical history-taking, physical examination, and diagnostic reasoning to identify musculoskeletal and related health concerns. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering hands-on osteopathic manipulative treatments, developing individualized rehabilitation and exercise programs, and coordinating care with other health professionals when appropriate. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical records, educating patients about self-management strategies and preventive care, and contributing to a positive, respectful clinic atmosphere.



The Osteopath is expected to participate in ongoing professional development and uphold high standards of clinical governance and patient safety.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated proficiency in Osteopathy and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, with the ability to apply a range of manual therapy techniques safely and effectively.

- Strong foundation in Medicine principles relevant to musculoskeletal health and holistic patient care, including clinical assessment and case management.

- Skills in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, including exercise prescription, functional movement training, and recovery planning.
n
- Accredited osteopathic qualification and eligibility for registration with the relevant professional board or authority in Australia.

- Experience in a clinical setting, with sound documentation practices and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and communicate treatment plans clearly to diverse patients.
n
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, evidence-based practice, and collaborative work within a multidisciplinary or allied health environment.
