Production Manager| Blacktown | $125,000 + Super | Full-Time | Lead a high-performing manufacturing operation and make a real impact.
n
Our client is an Australian-owned manufacturing business with an established reputation for producing market-leading building products supplied to customers across Australia.
n
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Production Manager to take ownership of the site's machining and assembly operations and lead a workforce of more than 70 employees.
n
You will lead the machining and assembly functions, working closely with production, maintenance, quality and other key stakeholders to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
n Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Lead and manage a production workforce of 70+ employees
n
- Oversee daily machining and assembly operations
n
- Plan and coordinate production to meet customer and business requirements
n
- Drive productivity, efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
n
- Monitor production performance, KPIs and operational targets
n
- Ensure high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping are maintained
n
- Develop, coach and mentor supervisors and production personnel
n
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, output and efficiency
n
- Work closely with maintenance to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability
n
- Manage production resources, labour requirements and workflow
n
- Ensure manufacturing processes are compliant with company policies and procedures
n
- Foster a positive, accountable and high-performance culture across the site
n
- Work collaboratively with senior management to achieve broader business objectives
n

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Senior Production Leader who can confidently lead a large manufacturing workforce and drive operational performance.
n You will ideally have:
n
n
- Proven experience managing a manufacturing or fabrication operation
n
- Experience leading a workforce of 50+ employees, ideally within a larger production environment
n
- Strong knowledge of machining, fabrication, assembly or similar manufacturing processes
n
- Demonstrated experience managing production targets, KPIs and operational performance
n
- Robust leadership and people-management skills
n
- A practical, hands-on approach to manufacturing
n
- A strong understanding of workplace health & safety and quality systems
n
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
n
- A proven track record of continuous improvement and process optimisation
n
n
