Role Description The Salesperson is a full time, on-site role based in Sydney, NSW, responsible for driving sales of workstation and office furniture solutions to government and commercial customers. Day-to-day activities include prospecting new clients, managing existing accounts, and conducting face-to-face and phone-based sales meetings to understand customer requirements. The role involves preparing quotes and proposals, coordinating with internal teams on product specifications and delivery timelines, and maintaining accurate records in CRM and other sales systems. The Salesperson will regularly visit client sites and the Bankstown facility, provide product demonstrations, and support tenders or prequalification processes when required. Collaboration with operations, design, and production teams is key to ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in B2B sales, preferably in commercial furniture, interiors, or related manufacturing sectors.
Strong skills in relationship building, account management, and customer service, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Competence in using CRM software, MS Office tools, and basic data entry for quotes, proposals, and sales reporting.
Solid communication and negotiation skills, including clear written and verbal communication for proposals and presentations.
Ability to understand product specifications, read basic plans, and liaise effectively with technical and production teams.
Proactive, goal-oriented mindset with strong time management and organizational skills.
Comfort working on site and visiting customer locations across Sydney and NSW; valid driver’s licence is highly desirable.
Prior experience selling into government or contract-based environments and familiarity with prequalification schemes is an advantage.
Relevant qualification in sales, business, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
