Operations Manager – Hair Salon | Full Time | 38 Hours
Salon Lio is looking for an Operations Manager to support the rhythm of the salon and become an important part of our team.
This is a people-first role. You’ll oversee the day-to-day operations while helping maintain the calm, collaborative culture we’re known for.
You’ll be the connection between the owner, the team and our clients — creating consistency, supporting those around you and making sure every part of the salon runs smoothly and with intention.
The Role
You’ll work closely with the owner and the team, taking care of the many moving parts that keep a busy salon running well.
Your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the salon
Coordinating the team and helping keep everyone supported and informed
Managing rosters, schedules and day-to-day staffing
Looking after the client experience and handling client enquiries
Managing stock, ordering and supplier relationships
Supporting payroll, timesheets and general administration
Maintaining salon standards, presentation and organisation
Keeping team communication and training organised
Managing systems and processes and looking for ways to improve how we work
Helping solve day-to-day issues and making sure things don’t get missed
Supporting the team with accountability, communication and performance
Working closely with the owner on the ongoing growth and development of the business
We’re looking for someone who enjoys being across the details, takes pride in keeping things running well and is happy to step in wherever they’re needed.
About You
You’re someone who is:
Organised, proactive and reliable
Warm,
confident and naturally good with people
Comfortable taking ownership and making decisions
Calm under pressure and good at finding solutions
Detail-oriented and naturally notices what needs doing
A clear and caring communicator
Someone who takes pride in creating a great experience for both clients and the team
Positive, approachable and enjoys being part of a team
Happy to get involved and understands that sometimes the little things make the biggest difference
Interested in learning, growing and being part of something long-term
Previous experience in salon, beauty, hospitality, retail or a similar operations or management role would be highly regarded. Hairdressing experience is a bonus, but not essential.
Most importantly, we’re looking for the right person — someone with initiative, common sense, warmth and a genuine interest in people.
About Salon Lio

We have a strong team, a growing client base and big plans for the future.

support our team and continue creating a salon that people genuinely enjoy being part of.
We care about beautiful work, exceptional client experiences and creating a positive, collaborative environment.
We’re looking for someone who wants to grow with the business and have a genuine impact on how the salon feels and functions every day.
