McCartney Family Funerals

Logan

At McCartney Family Funerals, we don't "sell funerals." - We care for families.

We are a proudly family-owned and operated funeral home, deeply embedded in our local community. Everything we do is guided by our values — Care, Compassion, Community, Support, and Family — and a genuine commitment to helping families navigate one of the most difficult moments of their lives with dignity and grace.

We are seeking an experienced Funeral Director to join our Beenleigh team.

The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to join a business where:

Quality of care is never compromised

You are trusted to do meaningful work, the right way

You will take ownership of the full funeral journey — from the first call through to service delivery — ensuring every family feels supported, understood, and genuinely cared for.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Supporting families with arrangements, guidance, and decision‑making during times of grief
- Coordinating and delivering funeral services with professionalism, dignity, and attention to detail
- Managing all documentation and compliance requirements
- Liaising with cemeteries, celebrants, clergy, and community stakeholders
- Building strong local relationships and community connections
- Providing genuine grief support, not transactional service

This role is central to ensuring every service reflects the wishes of the family and honours the life of their loved one.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking someone who understands the difference between service and sales.

You will bring:

- Proven experience as a Funeral Director (minimum 2+ years)
- A deeply compassionate and empathetic approach to families
- Exceptional administration, organisation, attention to detail, and time management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to remain calm, qualified, and decisive under pressure
- A genuine connection to the local community
- Naturally leads with care and compassion
- Builds trust and meaningful relationships
- Takes pride in delivering exceptional, personalised service
- Is comfortable working within emotionally complex environments
- Current Open Driver's Licence and your own reliable vehicle
- Availability to participate in on-call and after-hours duties
- Justice of the Peace - Qualified (or willingness to obtain)

Why Join McCartney Family Funerals?

- Work for a values-driven, family-owned business
- Be part of a supportive, close-knit team
- Make a real difference in people's lives every single day
- Join a company that is growing, respected, and community-focused
- Be empowered to deliver care the way it should be delivered

What Success Looks Like in This Role

- Families feel genuinely supported, not processed
- Services are delivered seamlessly, with dignity and care
- Strong community relationships are maintained and built
- You become a trusted presence in the Beenleigh community
