Preparing, reviewing and lodging tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and sole traders (including income tax returns) via Xero Tax

Preparing financial statements for business clients using Xero and super funds using Supermate or BGL

Able to train existing staff and provide oversight

Experience with Xero and MYOB software is required

Providing tax advice on business structures, operations, deductions, concessions, and strategies

Analysing financial records, income, expenditure, and operating costs to ensure accurate tax positioning

Identifying opportunities for tax reductions, claims, offsets, and improved profitability through effective tax planning

Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies, responding to queries

Reviewing financial statements where relevant to tax matters

Assisting with superannuation, payroll tax,



fringe benefits tax (FBT), and other indirect taxes

Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Australian tax legislation, regulations, and changes (e.g., via ATO rulings and updates)

Building and maintaining robust client relationships, communicating complex tax concepts clearly

Reviewing and improving accounting systems and processes related to tax compliance.

Minimum 10+ years of tax accounting experience is required for this senior position

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or CA qualification, and Tax Agent Registration are preferred

Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position
