The Opportunity
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Financial Crime leader with deep fraud expertise to take ownership of an organisation's fraud risk management framework and shape its future direction. Working across both strategy and operations, you'll lead fraud prevention, detection and investigation activities, strengthen governance and controls, and partner with senior stakeholders to enhance the organisation's financial crime capability. This role is ideally suited to a specialist whose experience is heavily weighted towards fraud risk management, supported by broader AML/CTF, sanctions and financial crime operations expertise.
Joining a high-performing Risk function, you'll play a critical role in protecting the business from emerging financial crime threats while driving continuous improvement across fraud frameworks, investigations, remediation and control uplift programs. You'll influence key business decisions, lead financial crime initiatives and provide expert guidance across the organisation, making a measurable impact on risk outcomes, regulatory compliance and organisational resilience.
How will you make an impact?
Take ownership of the organisation's anti-fraud framework, driving ongoing enhancements across prevention, detection, investigation and response.
Lead fraud risk assessments, control reviews and governance activities to strengthen the organisation's resilience against emerging fraud threats.
Drive complex fraud investigations, whistleblower matters and remediation activities, ensuring timely resolution and effective stakeholder management.
Partner with senior leaders and business stakeholders to influence risk decisions, uplift controls and embed strong fraud risk practices across the organisation.
Lead the delivery of fraud-related transformation, integration and control uplift initiatives that support evolving business and regulatory requirements.
Provide operational oversight and support across AML/CTF, sanctions and broader financial crime compliance activities, ensuring an effective and compliant control environment.
Deliver strategic insights, reporting and recommendations that shape the organisation's financial crime strategy and enhance risk outcomes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following:
Proven experience in a Financial Crime, Fraud Risk or Financial Crime leadership role, with fraud risk management representing the majority of your expertise.
A strong track record of owning and enhancing anti-fraud frameworks, including fraud strategy, governance, prevention, detection, investigation and remediation activities.
Demonstrated experience leading complex fraud investigations, whistleblower matters and financial crime incidents, delivering effective outcomes and control improvements.
Broad financial crime expertise across AML/CTF, sanctions and regulatory compliance, supported by a strong understanding of financial crime risk management frameworks.
Experience leading remediation, integration, transformation or other large-scale change initiatives within complex, regulated environments.
Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders, challenge constructively and drive positive risk outcomes.
Proven ability to provide end‑to‑end financial crime expertise, balancing strategic oversight with hands‑on delivery to strengthen fraud and financial crime capabilities.
