Are you a passionate Registered Nurse looking to make a meaningful impact in a unique primary healthcare setting?

We're looking for casual RNs to join our multidisciplinary team at Canungra Health Centre, providing backfill coverage for our permanent team members and delivering high-quality care to Defence members.

n

Rostered days will vary depending on the site's backfill requirements but will generally fall Monday to Friday, between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm.

About Canungra Health Centre

n

Canungra Health Centre is located a short drive from the Gold Coast and on Kokoda Barracks. This is where officers and soldiers in the Australian Army Intelligence Corps complete their initial employment training, and all-corps training is conducted throughout officer and soldier careers. It was established in 1942 for Army jungle warfare and infantry training. It was closed from 1948-1954, however reactivated during the Vietnam War.



Services provided include primary medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health and pharmaceutical services. Standard operating hours of the centre are generally 0700-1630 Monday - Friday.

What You'll Do

n

n
- Deliver high quality primary healthcare, including health assessments and vaccinations or monitor and manage patients in a low dependency ward setting
n
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including general practitioners, physios, mental health clinicians, and dental professionals
n
- Support Defence members through injury recovery, chronic condition management, and preventative care
n

What You Bring

n

n
- Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
n
- Minimum one year Registered Nurse experience in acute care, primary health care or military setting
n
- Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
n
- Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)
n
- Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient centred care
n
- This role is primarily Monday to Friday, day shifts, working within a multidisciplinary healthcare team and providing coverage for permanent staff leave on site.
