The role supports the Careers and Employability Service in helping students and recent graduates build career readiness, connect with employers, and improve graduate employability outcomes.

This position works closely with Student Engagement and Success, Student Life, and Student Wellbeing teams in a collaborative university environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Develop and deliver initiatives that enhance student and institutional understanding of graduate employability and employability outcomes. – Provide one-on-one career counselling to prospective students, current students, and alumni for up to 18 months after graduation. – Coordinate and promote campus visits from graduate employers and facilitate graduate recruitment seminars. – Collaborate with Faculties to provide guidance and resources related to industry engagement, service learning, practicums, and internships. – Manage and utilise career software tools such as CareerHub, including liaison with external vendors and evaluation of analytics and resources. – Design, deliver, and evaluate career development workshops and resources that support students throughout their career journey. – Partner with the Prospective Student Office and Admissions Office to provide careers advice at Open Day and other student-focused events. – Lead projects within a team environment and take ownership of outcomes from initiation through completion. REQUIREMENTS – Relevant tertiary qualification in Education, Psychology, Human Resources, Business, or a related field,
and/or completion of a Career Development Graduate Certificate endorsed by the Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA), or equivalent experience and training. – Experience in a similar careers-focused role, preferably within an educational or tertiary environment. – Ability to work independently under general direction and manage projects effectively. – Proficiency with computer software platforms and experience using career service platforms such as CareerHub or Abintegro. – Solid communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. – Ability to engage and influence a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. – High level of discretion and sensitivity when handling confidential information. – Understanding of relevant policies and procedures. – Support for the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University. – Current and valid work rights in Australia.
